Abstract:
|
It is an analysis of sixty subjects selected at random with respect to urinary and serum oxalate levels. It states that in majority of cases excretion ranged from 10-30 mgs in 24hours. However, it is reported slightly higher in females and was directly related to urine volume. It had no relation to serum oxalate level, this was true even after high oxalate diet.
It reveals that oxalic acid excretion in Kashmir's is within normal level even in spite of high oxalate content of food. It feels that inability to increase urinary excretion of oxalate even after high oxalate content diet possibly means that oxalate is not absorbed to great extent and the excretion is mainly due to endogenous production. |
