Abstract: The study is conducted in the hospital admission of the nephrology unit of SKIMS; Srinagar .It concludes that the Nephrotic syndrome affects males about twice as commonly as the females. Swelling of face oliguria and edema feet are the commonest presenting feature being related to the histological lesions and the serum protein levels. Infection is commonly seen in patients. Focal glomerulerosis and membranoroliferative glomerulo nephritis were not seen in children.
